This project was a long time coming, over 12 months in fact!
​ 
The wonderful owners of Bundanoon Pharmacy approached us to assist with the building branding of the new Terry White Chemist. The vision of the team was wonderful - they wanted to respectfully brand the business without destroying the heritage and beautiful streetscape that is Bundanoon main street - and that meant a different approach to sticking a logo on a window decal.
​ 
We set our sights on what the history of Bundanoon meant, and the unique wildlife that adorns the region. Working together with the Bundanoon Historical Society and the Wingecarribee Shire Council, our Sasha devised a stunning set of illustrations that showcase the compounding pharmacy and apothecary services, as well as an illustration of an Australian stream train that would frequent the local station nearby from the 1800s.
​
The signage colours were selected to complement the dark blue grey and sandstone of the building.
​
We’re so proud to see this vision come to life, and to be able to share this with the residents of and visitors to Bundanoon

The Georgian-style manor from the 1890s was originally the mayor’s residence. It now boasts a small art hotel experience and an elegant space for the discerning guest.

With Architect @luke_moloney_architecture, gallery director Campbell Robertson-Swan @defiancegallery and stylist @JILLIANBOUSTRED collaborating on this wonderful new destination, our job of creating a website experience to show off this beauty was serene.

Our lovely Nic came to Banter when we were just 4 Our lovely Nic came to Banter when we were just 4 months old, and is leaving us after 4.5 years together. It’s hard to feel sad when you know her reason for moving on is because LIFE is moving on. She’s packing up her family and doing what we suspect most of us would LOVE to do –caravanning her way around Australia for 6+ months #makingmemories. 🇦🇺📷

Nic’s growth has been tremendous at Banter, starting as Social Media Manager and ending as General Manager – and only ending for now (who knows what’s in store for any of us in 6 months time, and we actually believe that her 6 months could blow out to be forever, who could blame her).
​
As one door closes on our timeline, another one opens for Nic and for Banter. You can’t lose an integral cog like Nic and just keep turning, so we’re restructuring the way we do things and that means different people and different roles.
​
You’ll be missed plenty Nic. We’re all preparing for social envy spam as we know how connected we all are. There can be no greater joy than wishing you THE.BEST.ADVENTURE.EVER. 
​
​Nic’s last day will be 15 July, so please hug her and wish her well – she’s going to need that support with home-schooling her kids on the M1. 😂😘🤞🍾🏖. Thank you for EVERYTHING Nic, all those things, and so much more. You know it. Xx

This session review brought to you from Talia, our senior producer, on TikTok’s platform dynamics. Why is it so different to Facey, Insta, Snapchat and LinkedIn? Oh… because it is! 🤯

🔹 Collaborative: Duets, Stitches - Co-Authoring - 78% of users agree the best brands on the Tok are sharing ideas - eg. Netflix creating a duet with the main actor from a show narrating users' videos in the character's iconic voice.

🔹 Accessible: level playing field on becoming the main character for users and brands - Interestingly (this kills us) 65% of users agreed professional-looking videos from brands feel out of place or odd on TikTok; Opting for an ordinary / (homemade) real aesthetic enables brands to blend in. 📹🤳

🔹 Niche: Diversity of content and subcultures welcome. Find your people - brands personified. Demonstrate personality by embracing content for subcultures - eg #EcoTok tapping into the enviro conscious audiences.

🔹 Intimate: Be human - users feel safe, heard, and free to express themselves. Brands should aim to be informal, approachable, conversational, unpolished.
