Banter Group are a team of marketers working with local, national and international clients and we are now looking for a new SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who LOVES their social media. You’ll have simultaneously managed multiple client accounts, across multiple platforms and you thrive on the constantly changing, creative environment of memes and trends.

As the social lead, you’ll work with our account and creative teams to deliver the best possible solutions for each client and their audience needs, as well as managing Banter’s own profiles across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

The position is full-time, however, for the right candidate, 4 days per week would be considered.

The purpose of the Social Media Manager role is to effectively coordinate, execute and manage all social media marketing (organic & paid) activities for our client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Excellent understanding of the social media landscape with expertise in developing social strategy, across multiple categories including retail, apps, real estate, professional services and B2B
  • Ability to take a client’s brief and understand how to bring it to life on social media – with the right channels through strategic and creative brand storytelling
  • Knowledge and experience with the feed, Stories and content curation including copy writing to communicate brand voice
  • Ability to adapt content to specifically suit individual social networks ensuring it aligns with brand aesthetics.
  • Scheduling and engaging with communities across Instagram, Stories, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Tiktok
  • Implement customer engagement strategy and demonstrate excellence in social community facilitation including stimulating discussion.
  • Development of content strategies and delivering innovative ideas of what works on social for awareness, consideration, conversation, retention and loyalty
  • Content planning and creative ideation using brand and channel knowledge, consumer research and audience insights to achieve broader marketing and business outcomes
  • Create and edit original copy, creative and video content, managing posts and social engagement
  • Effectively manage a social media scheduling platform, across a number of accounts
  • Effectively build and administer Facebook Business Manager and ad accounts, including pixel creation and retargeting campaigns
  • Effectively design and monitor paid social media and remarketing campaigns
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (eg original text, photos, video and news)
  • Educate our clients on how to achieve best performance on social media and mentoring them through these tactics and opportunities
  • Reporting the success of social content performance beyond the numbers and the ability to draw insights to inform optimisation tactics
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications, and share your knowledge with the team
  • Identifying key areas of opportunity including brand ambassadors & influencers.
  • Defining influencers for campaigns and their overall contracts of inclusions, including reviewing their performance
  • Ability to brief a creative team on your requirements to deliver client promises

Experience/Skill Set Required

  • We are searching for an experienced social media marketer to join our team who comes with the following skills:
  • Proven work experience in Social Media Marketing Management with a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms including but not limited to; Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest and TikTok
  • Excellent communications skills including copywriting skills, content development, publishing, and engagement experience
  • Proven ability to create content (text, image, and video)
  • Extensive experience in managing social media paid campaigns through Business Manager & Campaign Manager
  • Excellent time management skills and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the aptitude to skillfully translate data analysis into business recommendations
  • Ability to think strategically and translate into actionable steps
  • Metrics-driven marketing with an eye for creativity and design
  • Willingness and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated experience with copywriting for social media
  • Experience in graphic design, Canva, video editing programs, and/or InDesign is a positive
  • Photography and videography skills highly desirable
  • Experience in an agency will be highly regarded
